Chapter 6:
I would prefer to teach in a classroom with more technology. I would want to teach in one with more technology because a teacher can be more creative with a lesson plan. Another reason why I would rather teach with more technology is because as a teacher you can teach to all kinds of learners, such as an auditory or visual learner. It would be easier so every student can learn in their own way. Instead of just sitting down taking notes with more technology students can have more hands on learning, not only may this help them learn better but have fun in what they are learning. Even though technology can mess up and not work teachers may have a backup plan that may not use the technology, but just having more technology in the class room gives more opportunities for the teacher and the students.
Chapter 11:
One traditional audio technology is audio cassette tapes. You can use them in the classroom still even today. A student could listen to a book on a cassette tape and if he or she were to misplace it, it would not be expensive to replace. So having an older technology is not as expensive and it is effective. One traditional visual technology is terrestrial. This is t.v. this can help i the students learning by watching the news and being aware of what is going on in the society. One emerging visual technology is digital projectors. These can help in the classroom so every single student can see what the teacher sees and what the teacher is teaching. One emerging audio technology is DVD’s. These can be used exactly like audio cassettes but DVD's are more expensive than cassettes, also a student can take the DVD home and see the book on the computer screen and it can read it to them to help them understand what is going on in the book.
